Whats the barrel life..750 to 1000 rounds?

I shot over 1,000rds with the 22-243AI before i cut the barrel back 2.5" and rechambered in 22-243 (plain). As you can see from the image I posted above, it still shoots great.
I have a friend that shoots 22BR. Here is what he said:
"I am running the 22 Br on 2 rifles at the moment. 1:7 Twist. Both are .252 necks "little tight" I am turning necks on Lapua brass to .248. On my competition rifle we did .0100 freebore on a 26" kreiger 4 groove. With the 85.5 hybrid at .0025 off it's a 1 hole rife with 29.6 varget @3100.
Second rifle is all the same except we did .0150 freebore to accommodate the 90 Atip/88 eld. We are running the ATip @ .0065 off with 29.4 N540 @3077.
Both rifles are shooting 3" groups at 1000 yards and have been confirmed to 1275 yards.
Barrel life is a touchy subject for me....... mine has 1200 on it now. Does it shoot great? Yes!!!!! Will I take it to the next match? Absolutely not!!!
I don't like taking any barrel to a match with 1k rounds on it. But that's just me."
