Ok, I'm sure this question has been answered before but after searching I can't find any load data with the components I'm using. If someone could shed some light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated. Loading 300 win mag with imr 7828ssc 215 bergers. Looking for max "book" load and estimated velocity out of a 26" barrel.

With IMR 7828SSC, starting load is 66.5gr and max load is 69.9gr, velocities ranging from 2674 to 2809 with a 26" barrel. That is the data directly from our data sheets. If you need any further help, feel free to drop us an email at [email protected]

With the 215 Hybrid i started seeing pressure signs around 2950 fps, but my groups opened up over 2875. I was using both RL25 and H1000 and a 26" barrel. My accurate loads with both powders were in the 2830-2850 range. But this was also .085" jump. All rifles are so different, I would recommend starting loads based off Corey's post.

My shooting buddy has been trying out the same components in his 300win mag. Hornady brass, IMR7828ssc, 215 hybrids. He walked his charge weights up to 72gr with no pressure signs that I know of. Although around 71gr looked to be one of the best groups, none of them were satisfactory. After we were done shooting I was looking over his rifle and found that his barrel was making contact with the stock.

This is my experience too. I run them at 2845 fps with H1000. I have pushed up to 74.5 with 7828SSC with no significant sign of pressure, velocity unknown though.
