20" barrel vs 26" barrel

Just thinking about switching from a 26" to a 20" barrel and running a suppressor. How much does a load change in this situation? Do I have to have a different burn rate powder? I'm assuming that I'd probably loose 250-300 fps, is that correct? Thanks.

You will lose fps going to a shorter barrel but you will pick up fps running the suppressor. Not sure on exactly how much either way, I would think it depends on cartridge, powder charge, and suppressor

Figure on 25 fps per inch of barrel length. I did not get a speed increase with my TBAC Ultra 7 Gen 2. Powders that produce the best speed with a 26" will still produce the best speed at 20".
