170gr eol bullets on game

I know the .270's are nearly as popular as the 6.5's, 7's, and 30's but curious on the results of these bullet on antelope up to elk/moose? Been dying to put together a lightweight .277 build for years and want to shoot this bullet or 165 matrix.
I've shot them at steel but never took game with them. Maybe someone who has will come along and give you some info. I can't imagine them being lacking in any way for antelope.

Over the last couple years my cousin has tallied up a good number of kills with them with his 270 Sherman, around 2940 muzzle velocity, I have been there for most.

Got three more pronghorn with him tonight, two does around 165 yards and a buck at 560 in high winds (16 mph). There are many more animals that have been taken that aren't pictured here. No complaints, meat loss isn't bad, animals die quickly, and the bullets generally exit. Farthest one of those was the elk, shot at 910 yards. Bullet exited I believe, don't recall 100% though. I know we didn't have to track it.

They work well, and seem to kill better than they should.

thank you for the response. You just don't see a lot of .277's out there with all the 7's and 30's and now 6.5's. I currently have a custom 260, 25 creed and 300 Norma but would love to just do a medium/long action 270. Wsm or a medium action 270 ss in a light weight build. Try and get them to 3000+FPS I just feel like it would be so deadly. Light weight, heavy bullet, good bc, less recoil then the 7's ans 30's, potentially no brake. I like the fact There the underdog.

main purpose would be whitetail, bear and then moose.

My last couple of rifles I put together have been specifically intended for tolerable/ manageable recoil without a brake. Don't get me wrong, I have some braked rifles and I like them for what they are but I do like going hunting and not having to carry ear protection. It's also one less maintenance & cleaning item that I have to deal with.

This one is ran supressed, best of both worlds, reduced recoil and no loudness. Would be great for deer and black bear, and should work for moose with proper shot placement. If you want a more substancial bullet for moose, I would look at the 156 Hammer, it will do the job.
