170 gr VLD\'s for .270\'s

Roy sent me these to test. The center bullet is a Moly coated 150 gr spbt. I'm going to chrono these 170's using H-1000 powder out of my 270 AI with its 29 inch barrel. I think that 3000 fps is a good speed.

I'm not sure why the pictures are not showing up today because I've been able to post them before. any help or hints?

ah, so that's who ya are? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm interested in your results. I'm figuring you have a 10" twist. I think I had them just about "there" for stabilization. Just need a bit more velocity.

Keep us posted. Bummer about the pics. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Budlight,

Good job......

The 150 moly is bordered on both sides, in both picts with the RBBTs, right?

I have some awsome 375 bullets retieved from the sand backstop. Think I'b be skeer'd of a 416 but the 375 H&H is a sweetheart to shoot.

Am I overdoing with 300 grain bullets in the 375 or is 270s good enough.

I have some 338 252gr RBBT WCs sitting here waiting for the rifle to get back with the muzzle brake installed. Squat it's been a month. I plan on using them on both deer and elk this year.

Went scouting for the deer spot. Ranges will be abotu 430 to 950 but I'm pretty much limiting myself to 750 unless practice goes better than expected.

Good luck.
