Hello has anyone loaded this bullets in 6,5x55? What velocities do you get? I have a barrel that is 22" long and I wonder what kind of velocities should I expect...

What rifle action do you have? If it is a modern action you can load it up a bit over most data that is listed. Most data is for under 46000 CUP for the old small ring Mauser action. I have a sported 96 Mauser with the 29" barrel and get 2900 fps with 45.5 grs Accurate 4350 with the 129 Hornady and this is supposed to be an under 46000 CUP load according to the manuals. With your 22" barrel in a modern action you should be able to get close to that 2900 fps. I get 3000 fps with 46 gr AA 4350 with 120 BT or Sierra SP and with 140 Sierra or Hornady with 45 gr AA4350 I get 2850 fps. All these bullets have performed great on deer out to 500 yards or so for me. Of powders tried faster and slower burning the AA 4350 has given me the best accuracy with good velocity.

It is a Blaser R8. I will try to stick with Vihtavuori powders, because I can get them regularly. I hope to be able to get close to 2900fps.

Thanks for the reply RT2506
