So going load son's 10MM, and he has SP and LP primer pocket factory brass. I only have SPM and LPM primers. Any concerns loading with the mag primer by reducing to low to moderate load? New area for me so like to get some thoughts. Plus like to use up the mag primers.

no need to use magnum primers but if thats all you have I have never seen any differnce useing published powder charges with magnum or standard primers in pistols, winchester pistol primers say for standard or magnum

I use mag primers in a 10mm nuke load of 800x and still have all my digits and both eyes 🤣

But like said above, I use both and haven't noticed anything different.

I've never noticed a difference between SPP, SPM or SRP primers in my pistol loads, but I'm not consistently shooting x's one handed at 50 yards like some competitions I've watched.

ES and SD tighten up with mag primers, velocity changes too, depending on the powder you may need to bump down 1-2 tenths. I'd use SRP in the small primer brass, also will need to bump down a couple tenths using them.
