Well I'm waiting on my last couple of parts to come in so I can finish up my new build. I Built me another 243 Winchester on a lr308 ar platform. 26" 1 in 8" kraiger barrel. Ive read up as much info I can find on the 105 hybrids and the hybrids combined with the 243 win. One source was recommending 42-43g of h4350? I have the Berger reloading manual and that seems to be hot based off the book. All of my other 243 winchesters seem to like imr4350 or varget. What has been some of your experiences? Thanks!

John

with a krieger barrel i crunch a bullet down on some powder and shoot. Not fussy. that said i would use h-4350 if i had it to start. i currently load for 7 .243s; all bolt action. i commonly use varget and I 4064 for lighter bullets and I/H4350 for the heavier.

Hey roninflag, thanks for the reply! Hat is your opinion on 42-43gr of h4350 pushing a 105 hybrid? Do you think that is in the danger zone or do you think that I'll be alright?

I think RL-17 would be worth a try too. Alliant's load data page doesn't many RL-17 loads.

It also mentions RL-23 and RL-26 which are going to be released soon? No information on these powders mentioned on their site.

Generally if you want to try RL-17 you can use the same charge weights as H4350.

I just switched from H4350 to RL-17 in my 24" 6mm-284. Using 95 gr Berger classic hunter.
52 gr of H4350 vel 3295 fps (most accurate load with this powder)
54 gr of RL-17 vel 3465 fps (highest charge I tried equally accurate to H4350 load)
