You guys actually have some pretty great whiskey down there. One of my favorite bottles right now is a sherry cask from Morris in Victoria. There's heaps(to use the local vernacular) of distilleries in Tassie. I've been picking up Hellyer's Road pinot finish for a decade now. Last time I was down there, I picked up a bottle from Launceston distillery that was absolutely fantastic.I should butt out because I don't have a taste for the American whisky or Bourbon.
When I was invited to Fordy's camp in Tasmania I took Bundaberg Rum.
Rum is my favourite spirit and I was given the opportunity to to time my trip with ButterBean so I wanted to be sure to take some along for him to try.
Along with some popular Aussie snacks.
I find most of the Aussie(and NZ) whiskey to be more in line with a highland scotch than bourbon. And that makes sense, I don't think any of them are using corn. Mostly single malts.
