Berger 190 LRHT terminal performance?

I'd be willing to say the same one would be ideal.
Have you looked at the Berger info for specific measurements ?
Can't imagine much difference.
I think so, but i also don't know much about setting up reamer dimensions either. The bearing surface on the 190 is .030" longer than the 195. Overall length is .047" difference.

It's going to have more resistance, and likely a tad less velocity at pressure.

You will be seated out .055 longer to have the same jump to the lands, also. Are you restricted by mag length?

So you'd be .030" deeper in the case at the same distance from the lands, than the 195 is now. Do you like where the 195 sits as is?
I don't have any 195s or 190s. I have never mocked up a round. My chamber is SAAMI +P shooting the 180 Hybrids. I'm in the process of planning for a backup barrel order from Benchmark. I'm trying to decide on what I'll shoot in it for twist rate purposes and length. Current barrel is a 27" Kreiger 1-7tw. Rifle is a Browning Xbolt. Alex Wheel says his COAL with his reamer and a 195 is 3.775" i believe. That will fit in my mag but the feed ramp sits over the tip and that length. I need 3.675 to clear. I think i can mod that feed ramp to clear at 3.775 though and still function.

I was thinking about BTO length, instead of bearing surface length when I replied earlier.

I think 8.5tw is plenty fast for these, 8tw is for certain.

You need to be slinging big monos with a 7tw!

Berger hybrid seating depths repeat in .030" increments. Or they have in every gun I've tried them in, so far.
So if you need a little jump for mag clearance it's not a huge deal.

Well, i actually intended to keep shooting the 177 Hammer in it when I had the barrel made. I just got interested in seeing the terminal performance of other bullets lol.

The SD is plenty high with 190/195's. They make quite a gash from the reports I've read.
I'm running 190's in my PRC at 2920 with n568 but I'm going to try them in my new 7 Mega this fall. Along with some McGuires likely. 143/160gr

What is your barrel length in the PRC?

Looking for first-hand experience with the Berger 7mm 190 LRHT on game. I found a thread on long range only that covered it a little, but nothing in-depth. The bc is hard to ignore. Anyone have any input?
That's the same question I asked yesterday. Someome told me the exact same thing about them penciling thru animal. I dont believe it would be true especially if your busting shoulders with them. Been using Berger Vld,and hybrids for over 20years now with no failure. But i dont know everything and be wrong with my thoughts on these.
Thanks In Advance
