I've seen them as low as $175, certainly a shame to see them go by the wayside but that's life.

Since buying the Garmin dope at distance has been very easy compared to what I went through for years. Slight adjustments now compared to rigging it one way or another before I had accurate readings of velocity, and it is the easiest to use chrono I have ever seen.

That's great to hear, repeatedly about the Garmin. It's why I was willing to spend the money for it. I'm doing load development out to 500yds on a buddy's farm, then I want to take it to 1000-1200yds. It's a long drive to get to that range, and it's expensive, but I can't wait to be ready to go there.

I doubt you could sell it. Maybe give it away. lol I tried to sell my old Oehler 35 for like $125 and crickets. That was a couple years ago. I just let it and my magnetospeed sit on the shelf and collect dust.

I bought a Garmin early last year... or year before -I don't remember, anyway, I love it and would not go back to shooting through the rabbit ears i was using. The Garmin has been fantastic!

I couldn't sell my Oehler 35P so I offered it to a LRH member for free. I shipped it half way across the country, at my expense, only to have it returned to me because I got the house number wrong. Sometimes you just can't win.
I shipped it again, with the corrected address, but asked the guy if he would pick up the shipping. It all worked out, kind of.

The great chronograph debate. I started with a Chrony then bought a Pact gave the chrony to a 4H kid for his project. FUBARED the Pact bought the updated Pact. Got a Mag Speed. My so bought a Garmin gave me his lab radar which I absolutely hated. Bought an Athlon and love it. So as week speak I now am sitting on 4 chronos 3 of which you now can't give away.
Garmin pretty much made all other chronographs obsolete. I know that Athlon copied the design but I've never used one so I can't comment on those.
The downrange mode in the Garmin is a game changer for truing drops at distance. This is my wife's 6.5x47 Lapua at 600 yards with a 142 SMKX bullet. MV was in the 2830 range.

Is your Garmin the C1? I hear it is.more accurate than the Athlon.
Did not know it had a downrange function either. Will be worth the $$.

There were 4 guys at the range the other day. 2 had Athlons and 2 had Garmin C1's. We sat all 4 next to each other shot 5 rounds and came up with a 4 fps total difference between them.
