Lighterweight FFP Scopes?

Hello,

I am a western big game hunter and won't be shooting past about 500-600 yards on game. Are there any decent FFP scopes that are lighter weight? Would love something more than a basic reticle for simple hold overs (MOA shooter for now). For reference, my current scope is around 16oz.

S&B Klassik 3-12x42 with P3L reticle is 21oz. Great glass and very simple hold reticle with adjustable turret but only currently available in MILs. I had one in MOA but sold it as I am in the process of switching everything to MIL's. It's really not that difficult…😃

Edit to add: S&B is know for their reliability and zero holding. I would factor that in more than weight. Just my $.02 worth

Magnification range, budget, illum/non-illum, reticle preference, 1" or 30MM, etc?
 
Tangent Theta TT315M or TT315H.

You want the BEST? You won't get the lightest. 27.7oz, but well worth the added ounces.
But, you will pay for every one of those ounces, like $150/oz.
Still cheaper than Beluga caviar, and WAY more enjoyable for a lot longer timeframe.

And if people call you a "glass snob", you can whack them over the head with it and still enjoy it for years. Can't do that with caviar.

These are good/great scopes, but mrad

Personal opinion there is almost zero point in chasing the best glass possible for a 600 yard scope, very good glass and reliable function and go.

As much as I hate the reticle on paper, now that it's on a rifle it's growing on me.

I still feel there is a gap in the market for lightweight ffp scopes. The NightForce nxs 2-10 was once available in ffp at 20 oz and they are a unicorn to find now. Someday looking to try out the klassik. I've heard good things.

A few more out there but I wouldn't trust them.
