Tract 2.5 -15 scope great, good or soso

Tract 2.5-15 30mm observations of two units:
Both build & feel of dials/turrets are outstanding. FOV is acceptable.
SFP Hunt version had a really distinct reticle, easy eyebox, a winner.
FFP Eagleman reticle was too thin/dainty. I couldn't utilize it much under 14X, and I couldn't utilize the center dot even at 15X. Eye box was anxiety tight. I felt it ironic to have old man eye turret numbers paired with such a tiny/dainty reticle. Had to return it for a $50 tryout hit.
Jon at Tract said the regular reticle is larger, so I might give it a shot someday.

The Tract and the Maven RS 1.2 need to get together and have a baby and that would be my perfect scope. The Tracts turrets and the Maven reticule please but with some .2 mil marks. Really, if the Tract just brought the heavy posts in to 5 mil, that would be good in my book.

That might have been the one I bought about a month ago in their used/demo section of the website.
The Eagleman reticle is designed for hunting and is a little heavier, I believe that could solve the fine line issues that some experienced
It's thinner/smaller than the standard reticles offered in Tract scopes.
I have my first and will be buying a second shortly. My 34mm 4-25 Eagleman MOA is outstanding.
Im far from the oldest guy on this forum in my mid 60s but the Eagleman Elevation Turret is a gift from above. Low light conditions without my specs on and the numbers are a glob on all my other turrets. These big numbers sure are sweet on my 34mm ELR scopes. Stevie Wonder can see these things. All scope manufacturers need to take a page from Tracts book on elevation turret specs.

I think in reality, most guys that have tried the products from Tract Optics have liked them. Other than a few nitpicks, they are fantastic scopes and are tough to beat for most hunting applications.
I can only foresee needing one all of next year as well, so you have plenty of time!
Pick up any lottery tickets you might find in a supermarket parking lot. Someone might have dropped a winner!

I like my FFP Mil Eagleman 2.5 -15 quite a bit. I do wish the turrets were a bit shorter though, but then you wouldn't be able to get the big numbers.
