Any field experience with the Speer impact? Looking at going to the 190 for my 300 wby.
Good terminal performance? Seem like good expansion?Used the 140's on a B tag mule deer and a buck Antelope and both were pass throughs at 400+ yds with a 6.5 CM.
What grain bullet and velocity are you running? I couldn't find an accurate node with the 180 grain.I use them with my 300wm, they are very accurate. Unfortunately I haven't used it to hunt as of yet. But from what I've read they should be very good.

Nice, will have to put these on my list.Speer 190gr, 77.5gr of H-1000, sig brass, cci primer.
I shot a deer buck at 200 yds running in a 30 nosler at 200 yds it destroyed itAny field experience with the Speer impact? Looking at going to the 190 for my 300 wby.
A fan of Speer. A video review shows performance in ballistic gel at various ranges. Looks good 100 to 500 yards. Needs assessment at 10 to 75 yards, may be too soft at high velocity/close range to rely on for things that might eat you. Speer advertises them as a long range high BC bullet; the performance revealed in that gel tests confirms a good bullet for the purpose. May want to avoid bone at longer range.Any field experience with the Speer impact? Looking at going to the 190 for my 300 wby.
