Hello,

I really enjoy hunting antelope and would have to say that I think they are one of the best game animals in North America. The fact that they are plentiful and huntable all day makes them a great introductory animal for the new or young hunter.

I enjoy hunting them and have done so for a number of years. Where I hunt in NE NM has a lot of nice antelope that are about 13.5" with decent mass. I am getting the urge to get a book goat. I have the time if I need to build points for a state/unit.

I am starting to build points in WY and KS and also have plenty in UT. Is AZ where I need to look or is there another state with a unit or two that offers what I am looking for?

Feel free to PM me if you are not wanting to post too much detail. I am not opposed to hiring an outfitter.

Thank you in advance.

Ditto. I can tell you that hiring a guide is a good idea if you are looking for a book head. Thunder Fidge Outfitters offers a guaranteed book head hunt. It may take a few years to accumulate the points to get a tag in a unit that is worthy of the hunt but the wait will be well worth the effort. My daughter and I both took book antelope two years ago and it is pretty cool to get an animal entered into "The Book".
