I am curious if anyone else has a little bit of inconsistancy with IMR 4350 flowing through their powder measurers? It looks to me like this may be due to the 4350's large grain size? I've noticed I can get quite a large difference between pulls of the measurer.

Hello Shooter I use a Hornady powder measure and have to trickle every load. I went to 760 Win. for my 30-06 it throws better.

Different powder measures work with different powders.

My Dillons work great with ball powders and my Lee works great with stick. My Redding seems to work well with both.

One thing to try with stick powders is to throw the load in two charges and when you lift the handle tap it twice at the top. Doing this will really make even charges with my Lee and seems to work well with drum type measures.

I am using the Lee as well and I have to do the tap thing on the fill stroke, otherwise it's going to throw who knows what kind of load. It's not like it's so bad I can't use it, I was just wondering if others have the same concern. Good to know others do as well.

Or get a Quick Measure if you load in volume. It's pricy, but will load anything accurate, and quickly.

It's the one in front.

How does it funtion, any problem on larger capacity, my RCBS W/micro is add the end of scale

I haven't tried the Quick Measure, but I have several drum measures, and the B&M, and with all of them you must throw light and trickle up to get precise charges with large stick powders (like 4350).

If you're at end of scale with the RCBS micro measure you need to get the standard measure insert thingy (call RCBS), or throw charges twice.
