222 rebareling

Got a chance to get a tikka 222 think the barrels poked tho what are my option in regards to rebareling it to a new caliber with mineral work

Thanks
Lucas

Anything with a .384 case head diameter (17 Rem,204 Ruger,222 rem, 223 rem and
the 223 AI ) are some and they will require no bolt work and only slight tuning of the
feed rails or mag follower.

The 223 AI is a nice round if you reload but if you just want to shoot the 223 has lots
of cheep and different ammo you can shoot and it makes a great Varmint round.

yeh it'll be a varmiter the ai round sounds interesting always thought he was pretty on to it, can i use the 222 brass with any of the calibres you've mentioned below comes with 100 or so rounds but at the end of the day its not a big issue, probally more than likely be a vmax. watched my bro in law spray goat brains all over a tree over the weekend.

The 222 brass is shorter than the 223 or 223AI but 223 brass is about the cheepest brass
there is.

Both the 223 and the 223AI are fun rifles and more powerful than the 222 so they will
extend range and increase power.

There are lots of good ammo for the 223s and lots of good brass for fire forming.
