New powders looking promising!

I've had problems with sidelocks shooting Pyrodex. Black just seems to ignite better/faster lock time. It's messy but I do like it.

Yes, BP has much lower ignition temp, then pyrodex, then 777.

BP is actually incredibly easy to clean. Just use water and soap, then dry and oil.

But if you prefer the cleaning regimen of pyrodex but have issues with ignition, you can use a few grains of BP down the tube first, then your pyrodex.

I found that Shooters World Precision is a close match for Varget and Long Rifle a close match for H4350. I know the below link for the chart doesnt show Long Rifle matching up to the 4350 burn rate, but I found it does. Additionally, I later read an article that stated similar results.

Varget: https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2022/10/12/shooters-world-precision-powder-replacement-varget/
You might take a look at Vihtavuori powders. N140 is a little faster than Varget. It is also a single based powder. I just purchased N150, N160, N165, & N170 in 1# sizes. I never used them before, So I don't know much about Vihtavuori powders. I did ready into the powder and found the N110 thru N170. According to the burn rate chart the N 170 is faster than H1000, and slower than IMR 7828SC.
So when I can start reloading again I will give them a try. Those powder I listed are temp stability. Sure shows some differences in burn rates compair to there older chart.
