If you can find it Reloder 26 is the powder to look at, I run a Cutting Edge MTH well over 3,200 fps in a .243 WIN long action. It can be temp sensitive over ~86F though. Yeah, 26 is nice but for me in the 6 Creedmoor
It won't work because of my area temp swings. I wonder if 23 may work as they're so closely related. 23 seems to be more temp stable. I think 65SB may be the ticket but time will tell.

@nralifer What kind of velocity are you seeing with that 100gr pill? Boy, she is long!
From a 24" 1:7 twist barrel using a 243Win case I get safely 3310 fps using StaBall6.5. I start seeing pressure signs at 3400.

Eh, I can sweet talk her and slowly introduce my end goal. It can also be something my son and I do here and there. I think she thinks I'll spend a butt load on doing something she thinks I won't stick with. She don't know!

I was going to use the 140gr bulldozer ll out of the 27 Sherman mag I'm building until I found out that there doing it in a 150gr version which is better for my setup. I had to order a new barrel to accommodate for it but it will only set me back a couple months. Here it is with the 140s before fireformed.

Awesome, it will a couple months before we get the new barrel, I'm just getting excited about this set up

After this you should do a 170 .284 bulldozer

The 160 already requires a 1/7 twist, and to be honest it will out penetrate heavier bullets.

We have made prototype 150s and I'm just waiting for weather to improve so we can test them in a 6.8 Western

What twist rate will be required for the 150 BD2? 1/7" twist? I think I've decided that I will be building a fast twist 270 WSM in a long action so that I have plenty of COAL to accommodate the longer 270 bullets.

Yes you will need a 7, I had a 7.5 but ended up ordering another in 7.

Got out to the range today, I shot the 128s in a 270wsm and my friend was shooting the 205s in a 300 PRC. Both BCs appeared to be right on out to 1070 yards, which was great to see. I am very eagerly awaiting those 150gr .277s.

We have made a prototype. I'm having to borrow a 6.8 Western with a 1:7 barrel to test it. Bullet designed to work from 1:7.5 twist though. See the pic of the prototype below.
