Which powder? Horniday 6.5 cm 143 grn precision hunter.

4350 works and my experience has been because that's what the internet and written info is the go to powder. I try several powders and get the case fill and velocity that matches the factory load I want. I have had great luck with many different powders. I have had good luck with Super, H4350, 100V, R16

I don't shoot the CM but in the 260 both RL23 and 26 worked very well for me with some surprising improvements in velocity over other powders.

I tried Superformance in several different cases and never found one that really loved it.
Same here. I don't own a Needmoor but I do own a 260 and a 260AI. RL26 has been magic in both calibers with 140 class bullets.

The original recipe for the 140gr ELDM was 41.5gr of H4350 with FED210M Primers. Play around with that and you may find an accurate load for the 143.

H4350 is a very good powder in the 140-147grn weight bullets. Similar burn rate powders can work well also but if you have H4350 try it.

The original load was with H4350 as mentioned above. It was at the request of Dennis Demile the shooter who was involved in creating the round that they use a commercially available powder and put the load data on the box. Since then I believe they have switched to a powder not available to the public. That being said if you cant find a good load with H4350 sell your rifle lol. R 26 has shown to give more velocity.

Yup it was H4350 up to about 2012 and then went to a Winchester powder which sucked so they started using a powder not available to handloaders. They ended up taking the load off the box as too many people, even when it was H4350, pulled the ammo apart and weighed the powder charge and called complaining it wasn't 41.5grns. They didn't understand that Hornady adjusted the powder charge with different lots of powder as handloaders do and it wasn't always 41.5. So now H4350 is just a good powder to use.

Even the 120 AMAX used H4350 to start until they changed to Varget and now to what they use.

With the 147 gr ELD-M and H4350, I am getting about 55 fps more velocity in my 6.5 CM than I did with the factory match load (around 2630 vs 2575 with a 22.4" barrel). My reloads are more accurate, but not by much out to 300 yds.
