Weatherby 6.5 RPM?

It looks to me like they are not going to stay in a niche market. They are doing well with Vanguards, hardly an elitest option and now they are offering some of their ammo at decent prices. Yep, I think they have decided to expand a bit.
As far as whether the RPM could ever be as popular as the PRC, who cares? As long as the brass is available and some factory ammo with a few decent rifles, I'm good!
Neither will ever be as popular as the CM or the 308 for that matter but I see no need to dispair.
I also think many likely will be interested in builds for existing long action rifles, which will sell a lot of barrels and brass.

I really want to see some handload experience with RL26 and see if the case will equal 264wm vo, which it should due to matching capacities. Hornady brass if it's the norm will hold it back, however the 6.5/300 prc Hornady brass has been pretty decent. I'm in the game for a high performance 6.5 build and this case is on my radar, as well as 6.5wsm, 264wm, and 6.5 Sherman max.

Nothing "wrong" with it, just no reason to believe there will that large of a market for it. There's just not a big market for hot rod 6.5's.

Anyone planning to get one of the new Weatherby 6.5 RPM? I'm hoping to get one from the first shipment of Mountain Ti. I hope it actually weighs 4.9 pounds like they say.
My husband bought me the back country camilla vangaard and I love it, louder than crap even with muzzlebreak on it and he hates shooting it, but then again mine is designed for a woman's neck. I enjoy it and have no problem packing it around.
