This Changes Everything: Case Cleaning

HAHAHAHA I had this question about 5 months ago when I asked about which tumbler was best, and someone mentioned rice in the vibrating tumbler.
My next question was about adding a brass polish already in the reloading arena.
I like using specific tools built for the purpose to get the best results, didn't account for basic household options.

Wrights brass polish is a water based brass polish. Many car waxes, especially cleaner waxes and polishes are petroleum based and can harm primer and powder.
I'm using acetone based products because of the drying effect. I don't want the rice to swell and loose its cleaning properties. The rice with acetone and "goof off" has not swelled and still going strong.

I would bet the rice does all the work, and the acetone evaporates fairly quickly, i.e. in less than two minutes.
I'm not a fan of using highly flammable solvents without proper ventilation.
P7M13 I think he uses the rice and drinks the acetone, what ya think?

There are different types of "Goof Off'. Which one?

@BFD Guns Thanks for the info. when I looked this product up I noticed there were different kinds for different problems. I can get it at one of my local hardware stores, just needed to know which one.
I will give this a try on my BPCR cartridges. Black powder makes a BIG mess with a lot of corrosive residue both inside and out. Spend a lot of time cleaning these cartridges cases and something that can speed that process up will be helpful, at least to me.
