The hairs on the back of my neck are standing up on this one. The Last fella that done this to me was a Ukrainian. Tried to sell me a CZ evo. His Ukrainian accent chased and way of doing business chased me away right CAREFUL 😖

You should only do business ON this forum and with PM. A phone call is in order on pricier items and if communication lags, opt out. No pics is a good tip off if it doesn't look original.

I am beginning to wonder if there should be a much higher post requirement to sell? It would take waste too much time for a scammer to become eligible thus maybe not worth the effort? Old adage still works, sounds good to be true, it probably is. Or the Old Missouri position: "I am from Missouri - SHOW ME!"

Is it just me or does it seem like there has been a huge increase in new members as of late... 🤔
I am quietly thinking the same thing and not to put everyone in the same basket but I definitely give new members a little more questioning before I will deal with them but on I have also made deals with new members for lower dollar amounts just to help them get a foothold with trader history

increased post requirements or a minimum post count in a addition to a 6 month or 1 year probationary period.

Hell I'm seeing people post for sale adds in areas other than the classifieds. I have a hard time believing they are all "accidents".

You sure have - and I appreciate it! Most people began trusting me on here probably more than anyone should have given my short span here.

Some members new or old only use this forum to sell items. Don't respond to any posts unless they can make a dollar from it.
Happy to see a good deal from anyone if legit (old or new member) but certainly the amount to rip-off/scams have increased. I use TexasGunTrader as well and recently found two separate guys selling a NIB $4000 Rifle for $1000. Both pulled down their adds after I provided my full name, address and phone and asked for same in return. Basically was certain it was not legit but entertained myself watching these guys go from "it's legit bravado" to "slinking away into the night".
