7mm on the 300 prc

I'm with ya. I shoot a 260 Rem and a 7 Rem Mag. I have about 40 guns in the closet and shoot them all. But when I go hunting I pick up my 260 Rem or 7 Mag.
7mm & 264 cal have become my favorites. I've got a big 30 cal but it's not nearly as pleasurable to shoot as those two.

got my barrel put on an chambered for 7mm/300prc now ptg is making a die chamber reamer for it sholud do well have a proof barrel goin w/195 gtn elite hunters w/ h1000 have 26pds so got to use

Yes, I would love to see a 7mm prc hit the market. Would be the most sensible cartridge release in several years. Just got to wait for 7mm to be cool again. I'm not opposed to any in 284 cal.
The .375 Ruger was brilliant. I like to think the .300 PRC is too, since I did that wildcat a decade ago lol

The 7 PRC would gain the same performance, that the .300 PRC does over the Win Mag. I think the 7-300 PRC would get 3150+ with a 180.

The 7mm Terminator uses the .300 Norma case, which means it is basically a 7-338 Lap

@ann brezinski , IIRC you posted questions about the 7LRM in September. Did you have one built?
The 7-300PRC is basically a slightly smaller 7-375Ruger. It may go a little faster because of all the marketing gas behind it.
7LRM, 7WSM or 7Mag, (and perhaps the 7 Practical), you can shoot them comfortably (a relative term) without a brake. Much more than that and you'd be better off with a brake.

I was scared to tell anyone here that I still shoot a 7mm Rem. Mag. Mine is an old Rem. 700 BDL, and I had the barrel Magna-ported back in the days before breaks were the norm. It has never had a factory round in the chamber (post factory firings) and I can usually see my shots hit. Since joining LRH I have considered building a new rifle using my 700 action (left hand), but I hate to mess with such a fine shooting rifle. I have some bigger, more powerful rifles now and you guys are going to try a little harder to make me give up my plain ol' 7RM.

I have a soft spot for the belted beauties! The 7mm Rem Mag is one at the top of my list. I still like it just a little bit more than the .264 WM.

I love the looks of a belted magnum. Being a dinosaur, I grew up when the gun writers spoke highly of the belted magnum cartridge, and I still cling to that belief.

This thread keeps coming back. Started in mid 2019, revived in mid 2020. Now it's back on in 2021.

Dear Ole Hornady, ye ole guru's of marketing, when will thy bless the 7mm with your marketing skills to make thy ole 7mm cool again. 😂.

I Know that was goofy but I was bored.
