First DIY Carbon Fiber Stock

Looks like a poop sandwich so far, but after all the sanding and repair, it should work out. Only 150+ hours and thousands in parts to make a cheap knock off of a $650 stock :) Great investment
Ah, but like many things in life, it's not about the investment ($-wise, anyway)!

Looking forward to the progress pics.

I exaggerate time and money, but it has been a great learning experience. After another couple eh1 types, I want to figure out the eh5. That is by far my favorite. A couple chassis builds would be nice too .... and it never ends :)

Did you use epoxy resin or polyester for the mold?

And what is the source for the foam?

Great project! Thanks for sharing.
I used this and it works fine, but want to try something a bit stronger.
the tradeoff for the 8lb density is 5oz extra weight in the stock but almost quadruple the stiffness. Not sure it really needs anymore stiffness in the barrel channel since I'm adding a cfn bedding block though. time will tell

When is the small business MRAM STOCKS being formed? Hmmm, tax right off.

I have almost exact same, my carbon stock is made by Paradigm
