Best 200 Grain Hunting bullet for 300 WBY (Berger)?

All around bullet I greatly perfer Accubonds to Bergers. Just yesterday I shot a 182# white tail through the last rib and it existed like this. Zero chance a berger made it through on this angle. And I love Bergers but they are a 400+ bullet for my useage. And I kill on average 70 deer a year with Bergers and eldm etc at long range. View attachment 234667
70 deer ?! How does that work?

Ever seen what 75 deer in a field of soy beans do for crop yield? TWRA Nuisance permit. Average 25 deer per permit anywhere from 3 to 6 farms per year. Some permits only allow 10, others allow up to 30. Sex, estimated weight, estimated age all required. TN deer season also allows up to 3 antler-less deer per day every day of the season.

How small are the deer you have down there. what is the rough size of the deer that u are talking about. I shoot one deer here and I can feed a family of three for half a year

Back to original question, why is the 300 wby slower then my 300 prc using the same powder, length barrels, twist, and bullets?
Equal powder charges? The 300 weatherby has more capacity than the prc. Load the same amount of the same powder behind the same bullet in a .308 and a .30-06. The .308 will be faster under these parameters.

When I load 79.0 of H1000, I noticed the powder is compressing with 215 Bergers. Thinking I should shoot a shorter bullet like a 200 grain. Any advice what I should use on big deer - elk sized animals?
