Introducing the Absolute Hammer

I have a batch of 151 AHs showing up today to try out in my wife's 308 and plenty of powders in the cfe223 /2000 mr burn range to test. I'm a little concerned that it'll need something faster though!
you might try h-322 or benchmark if you have it the cfe and 2000mr will darn sure be a case full but it might work just fine

Got a little data on the 30 cal. 162 AH in a 22 inch kreiger, 308 win peterson srp brass, cci 450, h-4895 46.0 was max in this rifle at 2927 fps 2.970 COAL 20 thou off the lands not to shabby for 22 inch barrel that only has about 40-50 rounds on it .I will try groups later I would think cfe 223 or power pro 2000mr would put it over 3000 pretty easy
Be careful with CFE223. It's temp sensitive and with the AHs can also go from no pressure signs to popped primer in 1 grain increment.

I played with the 90 gr absolutes today in the 257 wby. Using imr4350 in hornady brass. Oal was 3.28. 26 in. Douglas barrel savage action.
65 gr 3790
65.5 error
66 3865
66.5 3904 slight ejector mark.
I'll load some more Saturday for accuracy testing, probably around 66 gr. With weatherby brass 3900 + should be easily attainable. Hornady brass has a lot less capacity.

Has anyone tried the 123's in a 6.5 Sherman? I will have a few to try soon and am wondering what powder I should go with. I was thinking about H4350 but might have to go faster? It's around the 280 ai class of case so I will see what powders I have in my stash.
Very interested in your results. Got a Sherman that hasn't been shot for a couple years. With the right powder it's going to be crazy fast. What powder that is I don't know. Any guess on velocity? I'm thinking 3500+ FPS. Maybe even faster.
