what bullet you shooting?

145 gr Barnes LRX, 46 grs RL-17, CCI BR-2 Primer and Lapua Brass, COAL 2.850, limited by magazine. Out of Fierce CT Carbon Edge with 22" barrel, I get 2844, .7 MOA...supposed to be .5 according to Fierce.

My .25-06 covers most deer hunting. Short-range deer-stand hunting brings out a .243. For Western hunting I would reach for a .270 WSM, 7mm Rem or .300 Wby.

Figure this?: MANY years ago, I shot my first deer at 100 yrds with a .308 and Rem CLs, dead thru the lungs. He ran 1/4 mile and dropped. MY second, was a .280 Rem at 300 yrds, again with CLs thru the lungs. He ran 250 yrds. My Third, was a 300+ lb monster at 510 yrds with a 25-06, again thru' the lungs. He took 2 steps...
Go figure, I like my 25-06s!
