Does anyone still LOVE the MANNLICHER stocks like I do??????

If the answer is YES, PLEASE contact BOYD'S Gunstocks!!!!!

I have been trying to tell them that Mannlicher builds are Trending in the Custom Classic side of Gunsmithing, and they are considering it.........they just need more interest shown! A LAMINATED MANNLICHER would be awesome, as I build my 1903 Springfield in 338 Win Mag.

Below is the comments that I have emailed them, AND left in the comments on their YouTube channel:

"PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Boyd's Gunstocks, offer a LAMINATED MANNLICHER STOCK even if it's only inletted for the action, and the final fitting and finishing is to be finished by the customer!!!! I'm BEGGING!!!" 😎

THANK YOU, my fellow firearms enthusiasts!!!!

I've always been partial to them. Built a 21"bbl 35 Whelen on an M98 and had a local stock mfgr. make a rough inlet w/straight grip stock patterned on an M91 Argentine stock. I slimmed it down and full length bedded from tang to muzzle. A real handy close cover gun for pigs shooting 225gr. Barnes @ 2650fps! Am now trying to visualize a 243 version along the same lines so the Boyd's tip will help with that.

I love a good mannlicher! Was drooling over a couple of RUGER 10/22

Don't get in a hurry with them either. Think of them as a good winter project.....it takes quite a while to get your stock, and when you get it, plan on spending a lot of time finishing. However, if your decent at woodworking, they do make a beautiful finished product.View attachment 173229

I've wanted a Mannlicher CZ550 in 9.3x62 or perhaps the 6.5x55 just to be more unique, however it seems that CZ has DISCONTINUED it.
Discussion about the DISCONTINUED CZ550FS

Just FYI; CZs have the CRAPPIEST BLUING that I have ever encountered.........the finish looks good, but they RUST faster that any Weatherby, Winchester, Remington, or Ruger........I know from experience after hunting with my CZ550 Safari .416 Rigby in a snowstorm in Montrose, Co. All of the other hunter's rifles fared well, but the next day, even after a thorough drying out, and covering it in silicone, my rifle was covered in a RUST PATINA. That's why Kirby Allen turned it into a 338 Allen Express and finished the action and bolt with a nice matte black Ceracote.
