Berger supporters, Vocal Minority with Something to Gain, or Legit?

I really want to shoot the 215 Hybrid, despite witnessing poor performance with the VLD with my own eyes. So I started really using the Google and reading real world reports here there and everywhere. The one thing that I realized, there is a very vocal group of people who are members of every single forum on the internets. There are like 3-4 people who are members of every shooting forum that ever was and post on all of them day in and day out. Don't you people have something better to do? Anyway, when you really weed through the "amazing" reports from the vocal minority, you find a lot of more joe average type guys who don't have the best things to say but seem to get drowned out or shouted down by a couple people who allegedly have killed ten thousand game animals without a failure.

Is it all guerrilla marketing?

So your complaining about people giving their opinions about there favorite bullet. In doing so your asking people's opinions about your statement???

Internet forums are all about sharing opinions and experiences, that's all. It not factual research. Shoot what you like but get mad when someone gives there "strong opinion".

Guerrilla marketing!??? what are you a teenager that get there feelers hurt if you don't get enough "likes".

Oh yeah Berger fan here too.

Here's another fun one that may be relevant, 4 point muley buck, hard quartering away at 503 yards, 308 Win running a 215 Berger at 2430 IIRC, bullet entered right in front of ham exited of side shoulder.
Heart and lungs SHREDDED, blood trail was chunks of lung and globs of blood, I let my daughter find him.

Not posting the pics to be a jerk but DANG, how could a guy not be stoked about that, every time with soooo much more consistency than we were seeing from the other bullets we used, took me two years of this kinda performance to accept them as a solid hunting bullet. Most of my pics from over a 100 kills with them were on Photobucket cause I thought that was a good idea, not!! I do have a few that I didn't move.

By definition I'm a Berger fan boy now I guess, even though I believe all we shot this year were Hammers.
Here why I really, really like the Berger's I use or similar bullet, here a typical bull shot running inside 300 yards with a 160 Matrix from a 6.5 Sherman, bull had skidded to a stop withing 30 yards.
First pic is the meat loss, second is the hole through the vitals and large MIA lung parts, third is the blood painted all over the sagebrush because he was blowing blood out his face, bullet didn't exit.

Congrats - I was wondering when the first person would bring up hammer. The hammer supporters on this site are 1000 times worse than any berger supporter.

I think that a Berger behind the for-leg, through the ribs, and into the chest cavity will kill just about anything. I just wouldn't want to rely on one to blast through the shoulder of a big animal like an elk or moose or a zebra before it can enter the chest cavity....that's why I won't use them.

Do the Berger guys feel the same way about the construction of a ballistic tip or Remington Corloc, because more or less that's what a Berger is

Everyone has there choices the bullet that works for them. Myself that's Barnes and hammers. I've tried a lot of other bullets and still come to those two. Including Berger. Jury is still out on the hammers haven't killed anything with them yet but they shoot well.

The Berger and Ballistic tip have nothing in common from how they initiate expansion, jacket thickness in the nose, shank and boat tail, nothing even remotely the same!!!

Seen a crap ton of elk shot through the shoulder with a plethora of bullets, I have yet to see a Berger not make it through. I've tried even, shot a cow elk at a stupid steep angle inside 300 with a 140 Berger, hit her dead center if the heaviest knuckle, she cart wheeled down hill to the truck dead, found the bullet in the hide half way up her neck, the front of her lungs and all the blood vessels going out her throat were hamburger. Watched a bull take a 300 gr through both shoulders, can't count how many 168's I've found under the hide after going through the shoulder, 165 matrix has cleaned the shoulder on many a bull, I hate shoulder shooting elk but that's 99% from bonded or mono bullets!!
