200 gr. Eldx

I wouldn't be that surprised with the groups. some barrels just like a certain powder charge more than others. how many rounds are on the barrel? I wouldn't get too excited until you're 150-200 rds into the gun. You might try the 70.5 and then .2gr on either side to see if it changes. just gotta find that sweet spot, no matter how narrow.

The barrel has right around 70 rnds down it so far.

In my tikka I seat to longest I can squeeze into mag with 200 eldx and hs4831sc at 72.9. Center of node. .5-.75" at 100 all day. Getting 2925fps

I have a Browing A-bolt SS with the 26" BOSS barrel. I am limited by the magazine which I have modified slightly with a file to lengthen the max coal. I am shooting 73.1 grains of H4831 with CCI 250 primers and Nosler brass. It's at 0.383" at 100 yds and just over an inch at 300 with 3 shots. Not the fastest load I can achieve but with the accuracy I am very happy with it. 2977 fps avg. I think it is a pretty toasty load for H4831 and wouldn't go much higher with my rifle. I'm sure Alliant powders 23 and 26 can beat that velocity by another 50 to 75 fps but I'm more than happy with what it's doing now with the Hodgdon. Good luck!

I've loaded up a few more rnds and will get out soon and check the data. Im shooting 70.5, 71.5 and 71.7. We will see how it goes
