Official Hammer bullets Terminal Performance (picture heavy)

This was about 3rd group into load development at 200 yds in 260 Rem with 110 Hammer BUT was with 210 primer.

Talked to Steve and he strongly suggested to retry with 215 primer which the next day shot a .3 moa group and added approx 40fps.

Have since shot many groups out to 500 yds and average is .3 to .6 session to session.

One of the most recent surprises I got was after season closed and approx 200 rounds later (started with bare cleaned barrel) I decided to clean the Savage Barrel to see how Hammers fouled. Shot full of Wipe Out foam waited 4 hours and patch came back SNOW white!

Cow that I shot at just over 600y. Using my 338 BigDog with the 260g Hammer Hunter at 3250fps. I was using a couple of rifles on this trip and got messed up on the zero for this one. Used a 300y zero to calc the shot when the rifle was actually zeroed at 200y causing me to hit very low just catching the heart. Cow went about 50y and dropped. Didn't get a pic of how close I was to missing this but bullet passed through about 3" of elk only about 1" into the chest cavity.
