I have never seen anyone shooting one at the range. I have never met anyone that even owns one. Are they any good? I have found a few reviews that were all really good. And I see them get recommended now and again. So, if they are actually good and they are priced roughly the same as the other top end scopes, why aren't they more popular?

USO are amongst the best of the best. However they are behind the curve in regards to features and options that shooters want .

They track great, don't break and excellent glass . If they have the features that you want , but with confidence.

i've never seen them anywhere but online and they are expensive. i'd love to have one as i'm pretty rough on my gear. i can't complain about the weight since my xtrii 4-20 is 30 ounces. i'd take a b10 or a bfx10 if i had the coin but i've got 2 kids in daycare right now. maybe one day

Buy used for better pricing. All my USOs are older models that I got for excellent prices, and you can find the newer B series options for around $2K or less, depending on model. I rarely buy an optic new unless I get a killer deal on it.

Right on--on behind the curb..and also heavy...very heavy...if they would build a FFP, mil/Mil, capped windage 3.2x17, 40-45mm,Erik knob, that weighed under 30 oz..price point $1250 they would sell well...

I didn't buy one because I wasn't willing to spend the money on something I couldn't see first. And it looked like resale value was poor with very little demand. I've watched other brand scopes sell in less than a few hours for a few hundred dollars less than retail many times. So I went that route. Can easily sell for a minimal loss and quickly.

None of that is a dig at US Optics. Just how I handled a scope purchase.

right now there are so many options, I can confidently say you can get better glass than what's offered in the USO. I peeked through a B25 this last weekend for awhile. Thought the glass looked very good. It's so hard to tell quality, but it provided a nice crisp, full view sight picture.

They are great scopes; great glass, track perfect, and built like tanks. The only physical drawback would be that some can be a bit on the hefty side. I have had an LR-17 for 6 or 7 years and it has been a great scope. I had one of their lpv's and got rid of it and still regret it. Currently looking for another one of their lower power scopes at a less-than-new price. Their biggest drawback is price.

762x51,I wasn't aware that US Scopes were not available? There are a number of us that mount Us Scopes on our LRH rifle's.They have good glass and we just will not put a cheap scope on our rifle.Just saying, but each to his own as they say
