Xp 100 bolt

Is it nessasary to have a M-16 style extractor installed when having a bolt opened up from .223 to .308 bolt face.Or would the factory plunger work ok?

Factory ejector will work. You will need a new extractor tho.

Sako extractor works well in my 260AI, XP-100R. MTG

Go to that much work on a bolt have it completely worked over. Trued,bushed,Sako extractor lightened firing pin.

Another suggestion would be to look into a Pacific Tool and Gauge bolt. They normally have XP-100 bolts on hand. I would highly recommend a Sako extractor. MTG

M16 are indeed longer. Normally wider and have a pin that they pivot on. I prefer m16 style from Badger Ordnance over sakos
