Long story short my buddy didn't fill his tag in Idaho during the spring here with me for bear.

He is a well established elk hunter and kills one with his bow every year 358 and 330 was his last 2 bulls.

He's really wanting a bear. If anyone knows or has dogs I guarantee he'd be willing to give you great areas and great information or possibly take you elk or deer hunting.

Let me know. Trying to help him out.

Thanks!

Curious but can't he use is tag for a fall bear hunt in Idaho?

Also, why does he need dogs? Keep it easy and do spot n stalk?

Oh yea that's what we're trying to get ironed out for the fall. Doesn't want to go to waste.

Well he doesn't have too long to come due to his schedule to really get a spot and stock hunt done. So he'd like to do it done in a day or two. with dogs I think it's quicker to get on the trail of a bear.

gotcha, baiting or dogs is always a quicker easier route to roll

tons of great fall bear hunting to be had though, find the berries and you could well be deep into the bruins...just a thunk
