SOLD/EXPIRED WTB .30-06 Bolt Rifle

A friend of mine is getting back into hunting and is looking for a .30-06 bolt rifle. We are keying in on a Remington 700, Winchester Model 70 or perhaps a Ruger. Will consider other brands as well but not different calibers. He had decided it "must" be a .30-06. (Hey, it's HIS money!)

Will consider a scope included deal but it needs to be a decent piece of glass and not one of the Wally World "factory package" set ups. This will be his only rifle so I want him to have decent quality.

I have a pre 64 model 70 thats a 1953 model and it in really good shape. its all original except for the sight hood is missing. it has a newer redfield scope mounted which is the way i recieved it. I really dont need it .. 1200.00

I have exactly what you are looking for.

Rifle:
Remington Model 700 30-06 ADL Configuration 30-06 with a 22"bbl. Iron sites removed and filled with screws. 80's Walnut stock with basket weave checkering (somewhat worn checkering). Limbsaver pad. LOP around 13.5"-13.75". Have to verify. The factory synthetic stock comes with it. Factory pad on synthetic needs screws.

Factory trigger worked to 2.5lbs by Lee Thomas gunsmith. Excellent trigger. Smooth bolt. No J-lock.

I bought the rifle for the action. I had grandiose plans for a mountain weight Ackley build. Turns out, the rifle shoots fantastic as is. The only rounds I have put through it are Hornady factory 165gn Interlock BTSP's at sub MOA. I have never worked up a load for it because it shot factory fodder great.

It sits in the back of the safe. Need room...

Minor rub marks on the the turret caps (See pictures). Two very small safe nicks. I don't know of ring marks, it has always been mounted in a set of Leupold rings. Rifle is for sale too. Just ask...

Glass is excellent. No scratches or swirls. Very bright scope...

Blind magazine. The metal is in excellent condition with factory finish. The rifle has seen very little use. Leupold Dual Dovetail Rings and Bases.

Got this on a trade awhile back and am thinning my herd. It came with some dark stains on either side of the trigger guard but they were not deep. Was able to get them out with steel wool and then refinished the entire area. You can't tell they were there. I do not know the round count but bore is pristine. Some bluing wear near the muzzle, on the tip of the bolt handle, and on the trigger guard but overall in very nice condition. Can send more pics to any interested parties. Comes with the factory rings.
