I'm going to go hunting (deer) for the first time this year so I'm looking for my first and hopefully only hunting rifle. In my research I've found a preference for the 30-06, but again I'm solely basing this on that. I don't really have any preferences for brand, but I feel good about keeping to a 30-06.
A scope would be a plus...but not necessary. I'll save up for it later.
My budget is $800 with scope if possible.
