wich nxs for the better half

I'm looking at building up a rifle for my girl and was pondering the idea of what scope to use. I have dealt with the 2.5-10nxs but it was on an hmr and I liked its smaller compact size but at the time I was shooting ground squirrels and was left wishing I had more power. Being this will be a hunting rifle I was wondering if I should look into one of these or just stick with the trusted 5.5-22x56. For now it will be mostly a up to 600yrd light weight either 6.5x284 or 7rem both will be braked. And will be a deer/elk rifle

What would you guys suggest out of the two

I have an NPR-2 in the 22x56 NSX. Actually I have 3. Want one??
But seriously, I didn't see a big benefit to going small. Weight is not a big difference so I went bigger
