Which Handgun will you use this gun season?

Our gun season is coming up in less than three weeks. I have four of five XP-100's I've not yet killed a deer with, so I will be using one of those in our modern firearms season. Just have to decide which one… 😁

One of the XP's was recently finished and I'm likely going to take it. That particular one is a 30 Nosler, with a carbon barrel. The other three are another 30 Nosler, a 7mm-08 Rem, and a 6x47 Lapua. My 7 RSAUM has taken deer and hog. I may even take a different gun on different days. I plan to primarily focus on one gun for the majority of my hunting during gun season however.

My 30 Nosler is moving a. Refer 210 VLDH @ 2825 fps with 1/2 moa accuracy. Doesn't really matter so much as where I will be hunting 90% of the time shots will be rather short, with most under 100 yds.

I am looking forward to getting afield with an XP-100.

This one will likely be the one I use the most.

Been hunting since August! Took my xp-100 in 284 on a long walk for Dall Sheep. Got lucky and was able to shoot one. Shot was way too far @700 yards. In September my 7mm Dakota went moose hunting. Didn't find a legal moose to shoot at. October I went goat hunting with my .475 linebaugh. Really want to shoot a goat with one. Didn't connect there either! By next year I want to have a falling block up and running.

I've got a couple contenders in 223,222,357 harret, 30 harret, and 44 mag . Also a striker in 22-250 and a encore in 204 ruger . Plus a Redhawk 44 and a gp100 in 357 . But my newest addition is a colt delta elite stainless 10mm . I didn't get drawn for anything for this year besides turkey 😕. I do have a general javalina tag for next year and it looks as if I can get a leftover so I might be able to put one to work. I'd like to give the 10mm a try on the stink pigs

I most always carry my contender with me when rifle hunting, never know when one will come close enough to patty whack with the .357.

I'm getting too old and feeble to carry 9 pounds of rifle, 80 ounces of handgun, and all of the other equipment associated with hunting.

With all of that stuff, I'd probably end up not getting a shot with either! 😁😉 So for me……it's one or the other! memtb

Top choice single shot 35rem rimmed(all blued). Also 30-30 improved(with wrist ammo holder in pic)
Idk IF i will hunt yet. But i MIGHT. If i do, these are my top two choices. I really should but i struggle to get into it anymore.
Be kinnda nice to use my redhawk. I havnt carried it for yrs. Love it, but hate to restrict myself to those ranges where i have longer opportunities.
