Can anyone definitely tell me which mounts I need for Vortex 6-24x50 PST, im going to use Burris Signature Zee Rings with the plastic inserts on a 0MOA Picatinny Rail.

I would like enough space between the barrel to fit a Butler Creek cap.

Im maybe thinking I would get away with low???? Any thoughts?

Any input appreciated! Thanks.

Chart recommends high (.330) for 30MM but you might be able to get away with medium (.205). Having said that, I'm using high on 0 MOA picatinny and 30MM/44MM scope.

Good luck!

Most companies will give you the dimension from the base to the bottom of the ring (lowermost point in the half circle). What I do is set the firearm in a gun mount (I use a Tipton) at eye level and hold the scope at the approximate installed height and then use a scale to measure the approximate distance from the base/rail/receiver top, to the bottom of the tube. Then you know what will work and what don't.

I quit guesssing a long time ago. No reason to have rings in the drawer that I don't use. Warne and Talley list theirs on their websites. Not sure about Burris as I don't care for the insert rings.

I have the Viper in 6.5-20 with Vortex rings that are .250", my 1" med zee rings and my set of 30mm high sigs all appear to give about 3/16" clearance. My objective bell is about 2" outside dia.
