Whats your favorite hunting rig as in truck ?

Early 70s VW bug withe the passenger seat removed so we could stack deer in there. It got better milage than the 79 CJ 7 I had at the time so we used it for distant tracts of land. The Jeep had a 3 speed with a 304 in it and would absolutely crawl. Both had their place.
Honorable mention was the 69 Plymouth Belvedere with slant 6 and push button transmission. The trunk was would and could hold plenty of dead deer.

I slept in it and under it. Put 100k miles on it in pursuit of game.

Gen two Dodge Ram was a good truck. I like everything about them, except the seats.
 
Oldie but a goodie. 1997 Nissan Hardbody. Goes 75 on the freeway to get me where I need to, then shift into 4Lo and climb like a mountain goat! Go anywhere the new rangers will, and I don't have to trailer it. Bonus I have been averaging 19MPG.

I looked for 5 years to find a 2001 -4 tacoma crew cab 4x4. I wanted this model as it is narrower and will fit jeep trails better. My nephew in Hawaii found it for me and he got it for $1100 and I paid another $1300 to ship it to the oakland port. It had 100,000 miles on it and need repairs to one rear axle and a new bed. So, $15,000 later with suspension mods, etc I have a hunting rig that will go wherever I desire. I will never sell this truck and it still gets compliments in town and on the trail.
I know what you mean with the Tacoma CC 4x4. My mother-in-law has one that's a 2017? I think and when she thinks she is gonna trade it in. Nope I'm buying for the same price the dealer gives her. Love that it just fits on the trails better than my full size F150 Eco boost .V6. Second picture was taking my Father out for a ride before he passed away. We enjoyed those short rides together. RIP. POP

The Replacement

2021 2500 Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab w/ 8' bed, 6.4 Hemi, Flame Red, black/Light Mountain Brown Interior. 33" Duratrac 275-70R-18. Level 2 Equip Group, Protection Group, Factory Power Boards, 3:73 Gears, Anti-Spin Rear Diff, LED Bed Lighting, 5th Wheel, Bed Protection, Snow Plow and Off Road Packages. 16,500 LB Warn winch in a Warn Transformer 4 Carrier, Range Rider Vista Canopy. Scale weight with one occupant 8,200 Lbs.

Bonus is, it rides great at Freeway speeds and gets nearly 50% better the gas mileage that the V10 did, while producing more HP and Torque.

Best part is my Honda Foreman fits with the canopy on, keeps it out of the snow and mud and out of sight. With the longbox there is room for a quartered up full size moose, with the quad still in the box. If the roads get too bad for a big pickup, unload the quad and keep going.

Mine is a 93 first gen dodge Cummins. My grandpa bought it new and I got it after he died. It's not best riding or fastest to the trailhead or camp (depending on the trip) but it makes me smile every time I drive it. Sweet. Last year of that model with the great live forever mechanical Cummins. That is one I would just keep rebuilding forever. Truly a great, and irreplaceable rig, not to mention the sentimental attachment because of your Grandpa.
