I agree with longer "short" actions, gas gun and bolt. The trend is to take an existing cartridge and shorten it to accommodate longer VLD style bullets, to shoot long range.

I stoll to this day don't understand why hk has not made a 10 mm usp pistol .That's one of the strongest pistols ever made .I alai wish they would again make the hk model 94 in 10 mm .They only sent a bunch to lawrnforcement .
This also makes me wonder why there are no long barely 327 long Barrel double action revolvers most are 2 or 3 inches .

Over under 12 gauge 30-06 browning. The closest thing that I have found that is affordable is a savage 222 & 20 gauge. That in my mind would be an awesome big game / grouse gun or coyote combo. It would be the one to keep in the camper for sure.

Sig P220 (non-Legion) in 10mm again. I love Sig but $1,700 is a bit pricey when the non-Legion was $1,000 or less. I prefer DA/SA with an exposed hammer vs the DAOs with an enclosed hammer.
