Vortex Sparc or Strikefire

Need some help, I am looking at the Vortex Sparc & the Strikefire red dot scopes. I am wanting to put one on an AR-15 for shooting in 3-gun matches. Just getting started in 3-gun and need to keep it under $200.00 Need some opinions.

After looking at both I went with the sparc for my AR. I liked that it was smaller but the main reason I wanted it was the 2 moa dot over the larger 4 moa of the strikefire. I like the buttons on the sparc and all the mounting options. I'm using the tallest mount option so I can lower 1/3rd cowitness with my irons. I figured if something was out at 200yds I didn't want my dot covering 8"s of it. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find the smaller dot as easy but it turns out there was nothing to be worried about, it's easy to find and speeds up my shooting greatly.

There have been some threads on these RDS over at M4Carbine.net. They dont seem to bad, I have no first hand experience with them but like you have been looking into their products. I think their 3x magnifiers are ok.

I haven't used my magnifier yet. I think it came with a 2x. Figure if I wanted that I'd grab something else.
