Vermont bucks

My eight year old son got his first deer the first sunday of youth season. The shot was at about 60 yards with a 223 AR-15 using the barnes 62 gr. TSX. The buck took two steps and tipped over dead.

The first sunday of our gun opener I took this nice buck he was bedded in a clearcut and I shot him in the base of the neck in his bed at about 75 yards. I was using my sako 85 bavarian in 6.5x55 with 140 nosler acubonds. Nice buck for vermont.

Looks like a couple natural born deer hunters.
