Tripod Advice for Mtn. Nyala

I have been searching the web and there are so many tripods, mounts and accoutrements that its has become a bit confusing. I am in search of a stable platform to shoot from sitting or standing to use on my Mountain Nyala hunt next year. I shoot a Christensen in 300 RUM and am proficient with bipods from sitting or prone but with the heght of height of the bush a tripod seems like the perfect solution.
