My Rem 700 has a safe Jewell Trigger, and my Bergara has a Primary Trigger Tech trigger. Is it simply to knock the pins out and put them back between the two rifles? Is there anything else I should do?
Your Rem 700 has the bolt stop as part of the trigger assembly and, if I recall correctly, the Bergara has a bolt stop on the side of the receiver. If this is the case there would be more to it.
The bolt release is going to be the issue as ShtrRdy said. I know on the TT you can remove the bottom bolt release bar and use it on a side bolt release, I'm just not sure how the timney are. If you're wanting to go TO your bergagra, that's going to be a lot easier than switching to the Remington.
For the Rem 700, if you buy the triggers with the safety included, that's about it. Some adjustment, such as slightly bending the tip of the safety bar, may be required. Read the instructions and drive out the pins in the direction recommended. Very easy.
