I hope all in the sights of this winter monster are staying safe and warm. That Cheyenne temperature drop was a new record. Wow!

Only a day into winter and I'm ready for spring! This has been going on and off for over a month now already Since deer season. Been in the -50s the last couple days with the wind chill. My reloading room has never been cleaner
The red is closed and the candy cane roads are no travel advised. The ! Marks are bad spots(drifts) which I am guessing are anywhere from 3-8 foot in spots on the highway.

It's 39 and raining here right now. Supposed to be down to 19 in the next 4 hours. With 7 being the low for tonight. I know that sounds average for some of you, but for the Piedmont area of NC it's quite a drastic change.

I tried Komifornia several years ago. The -39 yesterday wasn't so bad. The winds never exceeded 50 mph, and I don't remember the wind chill factor was. Sooo much better than Palm Springs.

We had -44* yesterday morning in my part of Montana. Later it warmed up to a balmy -33*, and stayed there. That's so much better! Only -22* this morning…that's half as cold!

It still amazes me how deer can handle this weather (most of the time) year in and year out. This will be a terrible winter up here for them. Lots of wet snow, then below zero temps for a week, and lots of wolves that will get around on snow no problem.
