The dates for The Blast 2023 have been set. May 4th is a practice day and the 5th,6th and 7th are competition. The location is Flint Oak Ranch, Fall River, KS. Revised rules for 2023 and entry information will be out right after the 1st of the year. Here are a couple of photos of the progress of the new covered firing line and the range. It will be a great improvement over the tents we had last shoot. We are thinking about adding a team competition also. It is great fun, hope you will com. Jim and Sally

Hey guy's, just an update. Firing line has a concrete slab now (no more straw covered mud). The concrete and labor were donated by Brock Beran (blue shirt), Beran Concrete. He was a competitor last year and had so much fun that he offered the donation as soon as we proposed to build the new firing line for Flint Oak Ranch. When you see Brock at the next "Blast" be sure to give him a big thank you. Framing crew starts next week and the roofers on 9/11. We are hoping to be ready for benches by mid September. More updates to follow.

Jim, how would you class Specialty handguns,semi custom?

It would classify as Unlimited. If it has a functional magazine then it would qualify for the Tactical Class. It is possible that it may qualify for Semi Custom as well, depending on the action manufacturer

We also wanted to let everyone know about the two charities that we will be helping. Resilient Warriors, who help homeless veterans find housing. Also Freedom Hooves Therapeutic Riding Center, who help disabled people through horses. We have a few silent auction items and raffle items. All the proceeds from that will be split between these charities. Possible items to name a few are an AMP annealer, case of .22 ammo, and a trip to the NRA Whittington Center, including fees, lodging and a concrete shooting bench.
