when hunting ibex 99% of the time you can never shoot from a porne position because the angles are to big as usualy you find your self shooting up a cliff face. eaven finding a rock to rest the rifle on is sometimes hard. the mountain is made from rocks but when you need to find a rock to shoot off you cant find a decent one :D need to find something that would keep the gun stable eaven when only a small part of the gun is resting on it. it needs to be small and light too.

what do you guys use for situations like that ? if you could poast a pic of eaven a home made device so l can maybe make one for my self too :D lol

I was gonna say off your pack for sure. Triad has some decent durable rear bags if desirable.

I have several including the Triad Tactical front and rear bags. They are kind of pricey but work very well.

The simplest thing I've come up with is to use recycled lead shot bags that I fill either with sand or lightweight plastic pellets. These are what lead shot comes in for reloading shotgun shells and hold 25lbs of lead shot.

I can section them off in halves, thirds, or quarters by filling slightly then sewing a couple of lines so they can be folded or rolled out as needed. They are made of heavy canvas and last a very long time when sewn with waxed horsehair or kevlar thread.

For your Ibex hunting something like this Tenzing shooter's pack might be ideal.
