Stripped Front Action Screw - Savage: Help?

Hello all,

New Savage 110 Hunter in 300WM and I have a decent issue... the front action screw hole is partially stripped at the beginning of the threads.

The issue I am currently having is that the front action screw (with it being so short) can't reach the threads to cinch everything back down.

Get a tap and a slightly longer bolt. Or take to a Smith. Probably cost you very little

Get a 1/4-28 tap or go to any machine shop, obviously take it out of the stock and take the bolt out. Some auto parts like NAPA might have it, probably not at Lowe's or home Depot.
